Self love is the cure to self hate. How much do you love yourself? Let’s make a simple analogy for clarification. Imagine you just bought a flower you love, you will likely take very good care of it.

Because you love the flower, you will be inspired to do whatever it takes to make sure it blooms. You will be attentive to its needs, water it, feed it, and make sure that it has exactly the right amount of light. You will also freely open your heart to appreciating it, which will inspire you to continue caring for it. This is exactly how you should treat yourself if you love yourself. Let yourself off the hook for your mistakes and imperfections

Everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. Embrace your imperfection because that’s your beauty. Find the positive side of your flaws. When you embrace your flaws or imperfection you’ll begin to understand who you are rather than who you think you’re supposed to be. 

Embracing your imperfections will improve your mental health, increase authenticity and reduce self-criticism.

Write out everything that you are holding against yourself on paper, burn or shred the paper. Now give yourself a big hug and say “I’m sorry for hurting you, I let the past go and forgive myself.”

Avoid negativity and focus on positivity. Don’t say negative stuffs to yourself or brood negative thought. When you notice critical thoughts creeping in, identify them as such and then reject them. Say to yourself “Oh, this is the “I’m never good enough” thought coming back again” or even simply “I don’t need to listen to this.”

Give yourself a treat.

You deserve it, give yourself a treat. Appreciate and cultivate a habit of caring for yourself.

Take a long, indulgent bubble bath. Dim the lights, play your favorite music and drift away into a state of total relaxation.

Search for ways to give yourself a treat from time to time. It can be vacation trips, soothing spa, movie night, a special meal, power nap, and tons more. Do whatever makes you relax, unwind and unload. You will feel healthy and restored. Be happy and treat yourself like the queen you are.
