Self Love | Discover your superpower
Here is the opening comment “Think of yourself as a soul that has a body, not a body that has a soul. Prioritize what pleases your inner child and give yourself the best love”.
A lot of people are suffering from blinding self-esteem issues – they are haunted by negativity surrounding body, sex, achievements and relationships which maybe caused by media, parents, partners, friends etc. Tara Trimble Nash is here for this special purpose; to empower women to love themselves again.
When we talk about self love, Tara Trimble Nash is a genius in helping women discover their superpower “SELF LOVE”. No doubt! there are many coaches out there with the same motive but Tara Trimble Nash stands out completely with the work that she does. Tara is known to have shattered all barriers set out in her culture and has proved to fight what is considered the normality “PUTTING YOURSELF FIRST IS SELFISH”
Self love is the cure to self hate. How much do you love yourself? Let’s make a simple analogy for clarification. Imagine you just bought a flower you love, you will likely take very good care of it.
Because you love the flower, you will be inspired to do whatever it takes to make sure it blooms. You will be attentive to its needs, water it, feed it, and make sure that it has exactly the right amount of light. You will also freely open your heart to appreciating it, which will inspire you to continue caring for it. This is exactly how you should treat yourself if you love yourself. Take care of you, love you because the only person you have got is you.
Many women are pressured into settling for someone who treats them like they are doing them a favour by being with them. Stop settling for anything that is beneath you, stop looking down on yourself! you are a queen, own that crown. LOVE YOURSELF QUEEN
“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”- Lucille Ball
These are simple ways to gradually start loving yourself.
Let yourself off the hook for your mistakes and imperfections
Everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. Embrace your imperfection because that’s your beauty. Find the positive side of your flaws. When you embrace your flaws or imperfection you’ll begin to understand who you are rather than who you think you’re supposed to be.
Embracing your imperfections will improve your mental health, increase authenticity and reduce self-criticism.
Write out everything that you are holding against yourself on paper, burn or shred the paper. Now give yourself a big hug and say “I’m sorry for hurting you, I let the past go and forgive myself.”
Avoid negativity and focus on positivity. Don’t say negative stuffs to yourself or brood negative thought. When you notice critical thoughts creeping in, identify them as such and then reject them. Say to yourself “Oh, this is the “I’m never good enough” thought coming back again” or even simply “I don’t need to listen to this.”
Give yourself a treat.
You deserve it, give yourself a treat. Appreciate and cultivate a habit of caring for yourself.
Take a long, indulgent bubble bath. Dim the lights, play your favorite music and drift away into a state of total relaxation.
Search for ways to give yourself a treat from time to time. It can be vacation trips, soothing spa, movie night, a special meal, power nap, and tons more. Do whatever makes you relax, unwind and unload. You will feel healthy and restored. Be happy and treat yourself like the queen you are.
Gratitude in this concept is showing appreciation for what you have or have achieved, regardless of whether it is big or small. Gratitude allows us to recognize good in our lives.
“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.” – Amy Collette
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie
When you focus on what can be considered as your blessings in life, you will be happier, healthier and you will experience a deeper sense of fulfillment.
Stop hating yourself, love yourself queen and become the person God has ordained you to be.
